Fortnite announced its latest crossover content with the addition of Obi-Wan Kenobi to the game's character roster.

Epic Games revealed that the "Obi-Wan Kenobi Outfit" will drop in the Fortnite Item Shop on Thursday, May 26. Not only can players don the classic brown robe and sandy-colored tunic of Ewan McGregor's bearded Jedi Master, but they can also claim the "Dark Essentials Black Bling" bundle, which includes Obi-Wan's Blade Pickaxe, a Jedi Interceptor Glider, Obi-Wan's Message Emote and the Kenobi, Surrounded Loading Screen. Epic calls the items "an assortment of tools perfect for living an isolated existence on a remote desert planet."

Top-level Fortnite players will be excited to learn that the entire Obi-Wan bundle can be won before it drops in the store. "The road lies before you," Epic said. "Compete in this Battle Royale Duos tournament on Sunday, May 22, for a chance to earn the Obi-Wan Kenobi Outfit... and Bling early. And yes, Lightsabers and E-11 Blaster Rifles will return in this Cup!" The Cup's rules state that competitors "can play up to ten matches within their region's three-hour time window," earning a certain amount of points depending on their finishing place. Only the top few hundred teams in each region will win the Kenobi Outfit.

The Kenobi content arrives in Fortnite a day before the premiere of Disney+'s latest Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Hype and excitement around the Jedi are at a fever pitch, so it's no surprise that Epic and Star Wars are continuing their long-standing partnership. Kenobi will be the 11th Star Wars skin to appear in Fortnite, joining the likes of Finn, Rey, the Mandalorian and Kylo Ren. Disney teased the release of the Kenobi skin earlier this month when it added Obi-Wan's iconic blue lightsaber to the game for its Star Wars-related "May the 4th" event.

Epic is constantly adding crossover content to their incredibly popular game. Earlier in May, the Scarlet Witch joined the battle in Fortnite to coincide with the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Another recent surprise saw the addition of Robocop to Fortnite, with the skin being based on the 1980s version of the cyborg as portrayed by Peter Weller. Robocop joins other 80s icons in the game like Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 Terminator and Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley from the Alien films.

Fortnite is available on the Epic Games Store or the Epic Games App.
