The Star Wars universe is full of heroic characters -- and it's also loaded with some incredibly cool scoundrels. One of the more popular ones may be making its way into Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the most recent trailer for the Disney+ series, some fans thought that they spotted 4-LOM, a robotic bounty hunter who first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. The series would be a great way to bring the character to the forefront and spotlight one of the original Star Wars bounty hunters.

4-LOM was part of the group of bounty hunters that Vader hired in The Empire Strikes Back. Since then, he has appeared in many different books and comics, but has mostly been absent from films or TV, including the movies fans should watch before the show. If that is him in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it will signal a re-emergence for this classic character. 4-LOM wields multiple weapons, ranging from traditional blasters to electromagnetic pulse rifles. He even has a built-in gas dispenser that can stun humans and other organic species. Should he be hunting Obi-Wan, he'll be a formidable foe for the retired Jedi Master.

The inclusion of 4-LOM would also make it a safe bet that his frequent partner Zuckuss is in the series. Zuckuss was another bounty hunter recruited by Darth Vader, with Zuckuss acting as a tracker thanks to his mystic abilities. Those abilities may explain how 4-LOM finds Obi-Wan. It seems as though the new Inquisitor Reva puts out a massive bounty on Obi-Wan, so it would make sense that 4-LOM teams up with his old pal Zuckuss in order to find the Jedi and collect the bounty.

While these bounty hunters won't stop Obi-Wan, 4-LOM could slow him down enough for the Inquisitors to catch up with him. 4-LOM has participated in high-risk hunts before, most recently in the War of the Bounty Hunters comic arc. He has proven time and time again that he is far more than just an average droid and people who underestimate him do not live to make that mistake again. Obi-Wan has dealt with his fair share of droids, but 4-LOM is a little more advanced than any of the ones he's faced before, which is all the more reason to include him.

A 4-LOM cameo would also be a great example of how to do fun Easter eggs. Even though the character has been in the Star Wars universe for decades, he has never been well known. Putting him in Obi-Wan Kenobi is a great find for the fans who already know him and the fans who don't can discover another new character (along with Reva and Kumail Nanjiani's character). While the big cameos are always fun and jaw-dropping, the smaller ones can also be meaningful and allow people to see different parts of Star Wars.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year because people cannot wait to see Obi-Wan, all of the Inquisitors and the fearsome Darth Vader take to the screen. 4-LOM would be the feather in the cap of a show that is already bursting with Star Wars charm and nostalgia. Hopefully his presence doesn't cause too much of a problem for Obi-Wan, but he would add just enough extra danger to keep things interesting.
