While websites and blogs (like this one) will let you know about all the various announcements coming out of New York Comic Con, subscribing to a few Twitter feeds will give you an unfiltered feel for what's going on directly on the show floor ... or outside the doors, or down the street at the local bar.

So, who's Twittering from the con? Here are a few that I've noticed; feel free to share some of your favorites as well ...

Agent M

Who? Ryan Penagos, editor of Marvel.com and probably Marvel's most talkative Twitter fiend.

What to expect: Very friendly tweets mostly about Marvel, with some personal commentary thrown in as well. He'll likely share tidbits of news and tease future announcements in between updates about where to get the best tacos in the area. Mmmm ... tacos.

• Recent tweet: "http://twitpic.com/1ctpo - My first purchase of NYCC: Jack Kirby FTW!"

BeaucoupKevin

Who? Kevin Church, blogger and comics writer; he's written Cover Girl for BOOM! and will be signing at their booth, and also does the webcomic The Rack.

What to expect: Sarcastic, often funny and sometimes brutal observations about the con. Maybe he'll harrass Chip Mosher a bit, too, which is a fun way to spend a con.

Recent tweet: "Seriously, the guys in kilts with lightsabers are in the pro line? Fuck comics."

comics212dotnet

Who? Chris Butcher, comics retailer at Toronto's The Beguiling and blogger.

What to expect: Lots of manga and indie-comics news and commentary, mixed in with a retailer's perspective. And maybe alcohol and food, based on what he's been uploading on Flickr.

Recent tweet: "Liza Coppola/Viz is really pushing Viz Signature. Yay! Urasawa, Inoue, TekkonKinkreet got name-checks. Now: More Matsumoto, please."

KielPhegley

Who? Kiel Phegley, reporter and blogger.

What to expect: Probably a mix of indie-comics stuff with a healthy dose of the big two, depending on what he's covering for the 10,000 websites he writes for.

Recent tweet: "Had a major nerd moment because the dude in the room with us used to write for DS9."

Comixace

Who? Heidi MacDonald, of The Beat and Publishers Weekly.

What to expect: A mix of comics-business commentary and the social scene at NYCC, if the cold she mentioned earlier doesn't sideline her. Stay strong, Heidi, and pop a bunch of Vitamin C!

Recent tweet: "Stu Levy's hair out of control. Looks like Lydia Lunch."

debaoki

Who? Deb Aoki, manga blogger

What to expect: Manga!

Recent tweet: "i knew i'd have some dispute with the selection promoted in the 'otaku collection development' panel, but I stuck around anyway."
