Star Trek: Discovery has released the opening sequence for its Season 3 premiere.

The scene was first shown during the Star Trek: Discovery panel at the NYCC Metaverse event and opens with two spaceships chasing each other, with one of them being piloted by a new character named Book. The other pilot Cosmo threatens Book, infuriated over stolen property. Suddenly, Michael Burnham emerges from a wormhole, which damages her flight suit and Book's ship. Burnham is then forced to reboot her suit in order to perform a crash-landing on a nearby planet.
