New York Comic Con 2018 is less than a month away, with programming running from Thursday, October 4 to Sunday, October 7 in Manhattan's Javits Center and the surrounding area of Midtown West. The annual event marks the largest entertainment show on the East Coast, rivaling Comic-Con International in San Diego, and is the last major comic book convention of the year with many studios poised to showcase late-2018 and 2019's films.

Below is a list of the most eagerly anticipated film panels announced for this year's NYCC, when and where to find them, and details about each presentation. As the show takes place on the United States' east coast, all times listed are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Ralph Breaks the Internet

The first can't-miss movie panel of focuses on the upcoming Disney Animation Studios film, Ralph Breaks the Internet. The long-awaited sequel to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, the new movie has video game characters Ralph and Vanellope explore the limitless world of cyberspace, leading to crossovers with classic Disney properties, including the iconic Princesses, and characters from Star Wars and the Marvel Universe.

The presentation is set for Friday, October 5 at 2:45 pm in Room 1A06 of the Javits Center. Directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston will unveil previously unseen footage while providing a behind-the-scenes look at the sequel.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is scheduled to be released on November 21.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly

The first Dragon Ball film to be branded as part of the Dragon Ball Super revival series, the upcoming animated Dragon Ball Super: Broly marks both the first in-canon story to take place following the conclusion of the series. It also boasts the in-continuity debut of the titular legendary Super Saiyan after previously appearing in three non-canon animated films and a whole library of video game adaptations.

Written by series creator Akira Toriyama and directed by Tatsuya Nagamine, the film is focus of a marquee panel on Friday, October 5 at 6 pm at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden. The event marks the reunion of Goku voice actors Masako Nozawa, who has voiced the original Japanese incarnation of the character for over 30 years, and Sean Schemmel who has voiced the English dub of the Dragon Ball protagonist since 1999. They are joined by Nagamine and other members of the English voice cast.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is expected to be released in North America in January 2019.

Hellboy

The classic Dark Horse Comics series Hellboy is about to get rebooted for the big screen. The franchise introduces a different cast, with the titular demonic superhero tackling in an all-new adventure co-written by character and series creator Mike Mignola.

The Lionsgate adaptation will have a spotlight panel on Saturday, October 6 at 11 am on Main Stage 1D at the Javits Center. Confirmed panelists for the event include Mignola along with the film's stars David Harbour, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim and Ian McShane. With the film having been in post-production for over nine months, it is likely the presentation will include a first look at footage from the anticipated comic book adaptation.

Hellboy is scheduled to be released on January 11, 2019.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

The superhero film will have a panel on Saturday, October 6 at 11:30 am at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden. Reign of the Supermen

The direct sequel to this year's DC animated film The Death of Superman, the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Reign of the Supermen, adapts the middle installment of the classic "Death and Return of Superman" storyline from the comics. Like the original source material, four new superheroes arise in Metropolis after the demise of the Man of Steel, each with their own motivations and agendas.

The upcoming animated film will have a panel on Saturday, October 6 at 6:15 pm on Main Stage 1D at the Javits Center. The panelists include executive producer James Tucker, producer/director Sam Liu, screenwriters Jim Krieg and Tim Sheridan, and character designer Phil Bourassa. They are joined by members of the voice cast including Patrick Fabian (Hank Henshaw), Toks Olagundoye (Cat Grant), Nyambi Nyambi (Martian Manhunter), and other unannounced actors.

Reign of the Supermen is expected to be released on home video sometime in early 2019.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

The last major movie panel is for the third and final installment of the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. The DreamWorks animated film has Toothless, the King of Dragons finding a potential mate as the fantasy coming-of-age tale reaches its conclusion.

The panel is set for Sunday, October 7 at 12:30 pm at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden. While specifics for the event are still unannounced, writer-director Dean DeBlois will be leading his fellow panelists with the film's voice cast teased to join him.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2019.
