NYCC EXCL: Jughead Brings "Grill of Thrones" To "Life With Archie"

Heavy hangs the head that wears the grey crown.

While Jughead Jones has turned himself from goofball teenager to restaurant impresario in the pages of the future-looking "Life With Archie" series, a new variant cover for January's "Life With Archie" #27 shows how far he's come. The pop culture twist for the issue declares Jughead to sit on a "Grill of Thrones" as portrayed by artist Mike Norton.

Archie Comics President Mike Pellerito shared the variant exclusively with CBR and revealed its origin and its plans for New York Comic Con. "We've made the Life With Archie covers a place where artists that you wouldn't normally associate with Archie Comics can really go crazy and do something completely outside the box. Mike Norton's 'Game of Thrones'-inspired Jughead cover is way outside the Archie box, and we loved it so much that we had to offer it as a poster at New York Comic Con!"

Archie is set up at booth #1720 on the show floor this weekend at the Jacob Javitz Center, and fans can pick up their "Grill of Thrones" posters there. Stay tuned to CBR all weekend for all the news out of the show from Archie and many more publishers.
