As New York Comic Con rolled along, Dynamite Entertainment added to their slate of announcements plans to expand the "Legenderry" world created by Bill Willingham.

The steampunk series that the writer spun out of an assemblage of Dynamite properties will continue in three spinoffs starring Vampirella, the Green Hornet and Red Sonja. The only confirmed creators at this point are newcomer writer David Avallone and previous "Planet of the Apes" scribe Daryl Gregory. The publisher described the pair as being hand-picked by Willingham whose involvement in the property is lessened these days, though Dynamite stressed "The world of Legenderry is created by Bill Willingham who promises to continue to visit it from time to time."

As for the stories themselves, the "Legenderry: Vampirella" book from Avallone is a noirish take on the character. "Legenderry: Green Hornet," written by Gregory, sees the hero take on a gang war. And all details on "Legenderry: Red Sonja" remain under wraps for the time being.

Stay tuned for more information on the titles as they become available, and watch CBR all weekend for the news from New York Comic Con.
