Months after the announcement of an "Adventure Time" movie in development at Warner Bros., executive producer Adam Muto has confirmed that series creator Pendleton Ward is currently "working on the premise" for the film.

According to Polygon, Muto revealed at an NYCC roundtable discussion an "Adventure Time" movie is still "in the works," however, there's "nothing official to announce yet."

Ward stepped down from his position as writer on "Adventure Time" before the start of last season. Since then, Muto said Ward continues to contribute to the series and came in to "help write outlines" for the upcoming seventh season.

As Polygon also notes, "Adventure Time" is starting to tell more serialized stories -- like the upcoming "Stakes" arc in Season 7 -- that could inevitably build toward the movie down the road.

"Adventure Time" Season 7 debuts November 7 on Cartoon Network.
