Nvidia has announced the addition of RTX technologies to eight new titles, including DOOM Eternal, Red Dead Redemption and more.

The technologies, as specified in Nvidia's announcement, include GPU-accelerated ray tracing, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), Nvidia Broadcast and Nvidia Reflex, the company's newest technology, which creates more responsive gameplay in competitive shooters. More games and studios have signed up with Nvidia to bring the tech to their software, specifically DOOM Eternal, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Icarus, LEGO Builder's Journey, Dying: 1983, The Ascent and The Persistence.

DOOM Eternal will receive both ray tracing and DLSS updates, which allows the game to push visual boundaries even further with ray-traced reflections and an increased graphical performance utilizing dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on Nvidia's GeForce RTX GPUs. The DLSS technology allows DOOM Eternal to boost frame rates and generate sharp imagery during the game. Both updates will be coming in June. Red Dead Redemption 2 will grant GeForce RTX players a free boost in performance with DLSS, which will allow players to increase the resolution and fidelity of the graphically challenging, best-selling game. When the update would be added to the game was not specified, only that it would be coming soon.

Rainbow Six Siege, which previously received Nvidia Reflex in March, will be receiving DLSS as well -- which will further improve performance, resolution and effect quality in addition to the responsiveness granted with Nvidia Reflex. Icarus, an upcoming co-op PvE survival game, will receive DLSS and RTX Global Illumination, allowing for more dynamic lighting effects and brighter visuals. LEGO Builder's Journey, launching on June 22, will receive DLSS and ray tracing. Upcoming games DYING: 1983 and The Ascent and previously released The Persistence will receive DLSS and ray tracing as well.

Nvidia's RTX technology arrived with the launch of GeForce RTX GPUs two years ago. The visual fluidity and increased range of optimization and effects allowed for advancement in both PC gaming and content creation. The titles that have utilized or added the company's technologies have passed 130 with the recent update, including the utilization of Nvidia Reflex in 12 of the top 15 competitive shooters. This includes Fornite, which received DLSS, Nvidia Reflex and ray tracing back in 2020, as a part of an Nvidia and Epic Games partnership.
