As November pushes right into the holiday season, viewers can gear up for some highly-anticipated movie and television releases. Between theatrical offerings and streaming services, there are many great releases planned for November. Many releases during this time of the year are holiday themed, but that does not mean that other projects don't get their due.

In addition to holiday releases, November is usually the time when award season hopefuls come out. This November, there is something for every fan, including holiday films, MCU outings, great shows, and long-awaited movie sequels.

10 Weird: The Al Yankovic Story Will Be A Parody Of Biopics

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story takes the biopic formula and parodies it. The film follows “Weird Al” as his career in the music industry grows, but it's exaggerated to comedic effect.

Yankovic will be played by Daniel Radcliffe, who has earned near-universal praise for his portrayal. Yankovic produced and co-wrote Weird and was heavily involved in developing the project. The movie will premiere on the Roku Channel after previously being screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

9 Enola Holmes 2 Continues Millie Bobby Brown's Netflix Dominance

November 4th

Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister Enola gets a sequel at the beginning of the month. Starting Millie Bobby Brown, Enola Holmes 2 follows the titular character as she becomes a detective for hire like her brother. Her first case involves a missing girl, and she turns to Sherlock for help. Henry Cavill also reprises his role as Sherlock Holmes.

As Sherlock didn't have much screentime in Enola Holmes, fans will be happy to know that Cavill’s Sherlock will have a bigger role in the sequel as he helps Enola with the case. Due to the acclaim the first film earned, it is no surprise that Brown has a potential franchise on her hands in addition to her role as Eleven in Stranger Things.

8 Falling For Christmas Is Lindsay Lohan's Return To Acting

November 10th

A Netflix original, Falling for Christmas follows a spoiled heiress who gets engaged but then suffers a skiing accident. As she lives with memory loss, she is taken in by a charming lodger owner with whom she begins to fall in love.

What sounds like a standard Hallmark Christmas movie is highly anticipated due to it having Lindsay Lohan’s return to acting as a lead after nine years. Lohan formed a partnership with Netflix that will cover two films, with Irish Wish releasing later in 2023.

7 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Will Introduce The Next Black Panther

November 11th

The latest installment in the MCU, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases this month. Following Wakandans as they struggle with the loss of their King T’Challa, they find themselves at war against Namor and the kingdom of Talocan. Wakanda Forever will also reveal who the new Black Panther is.

Wakanda Forever has the tough task of handling T’Challa’s passing after the heartbreaking death of Chadwick Boseman in 2020. Early reactions to the film have been extremely positive, calling it a great watch and a somber, fitting tribute to Boseman.

6 The Son Thrusts Hugh Jackman Into The Best Actor Race

November 11th

The Son is the second of writer/director Florian Zeller’s Father Trilogy after The Father was released in 2020. Hugh Jackman stars as Peter, whose ex-wife brings his son Nicolas to live with him after Nicolas displays troubling behavior. This causes more stress in Peter’s life as he just had a baby with his new wife, Beth.

The Son received a 10-minute standing ovation when it premiered at The Venice Film Festival in September. Many remarked that it puts Jackman at the forefront of the Best Actor race at the Academy Awards next year. Anthony Hopkins reprises his Oscar-winning role from The Father, so the prediction for Jackman may not be that far off.

5 Tulsa King Is Sylvester Stallone's Scripted Television Debut

November 13th

Tulsa King stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight Manfredi, who just got out of prison after serving a 25-year sentence. He returns to the New York mafia and is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma to run the criminal operation. The first two episodes will release on November 13th on Paramount+ before a weekly release for the 10-episode season.

The series was created by Taylor Sheridan, who also created the popular Yellowstone series and its spin-offs on Paramount Network. Tulsa King is also Stallone’s scripted television debut in his long, successful career. If this series continues Sheridan's track record of success on the network, fans can expect Tulsa King to have a long run.

4 Yellowstone Season 5 Has John Dutton As The Next Governor Of Montana

November 13th

Yellowstone returns for its fifth season on the Paramount Network. Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton, head of the Dutton family, who is campaigning to be the next governor of Montana. The first episode will also be a special, two-hour event.

Paramount Network’s most popular series, Yellowstone Season 5 will have 14 episodes instead of the typical 10 in a season. The show is coming off of a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble, as well as the 1932 spin-off releasing in December. It’s a good time to be a fan of Yellowstone.

3 The Santa Clauses Sees Santa Searching For A Successor

November 16th

Disney+ sees the premiere of the first two episodes of The Santa Clauses this month. A continuation of the Santa Clause films, Scott Calvin prepares to step down as Santa Claus and begins to look for a successor. He finds that search to be harder than expected, and he even interviews legendary quarterback Peyton Manning.

Franchise veterans Tim Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell, Eric Lloyd, and David Krumholtz all reprise their roles from the Santa Clause films. Tim Allen’s real-life daughter will also be playing his daughter in the miniseries, making it a family affair for Allen.

2 Disenchanted Is A Long-Awaited Sequel

November 18th

The long-awaited sequel to Enchanted, Disenchanted, premieres on Disney+ one week before Thanksgiving. Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprise their roles as Giselle and Robert, who move from Manhattan to the suburbs. After Giselle wishes for a fairytale life, the spell backfires and Giselle must save her family before the spell remains forever. James Marsden and Idina Menzel also return from the original film.

Fans of Enchanted have been clamoring for a sequel ever since its release. The 15-year development of the film has kept the anticipation high, despite going through several delays. Disenchanted was finally announced at the Disney+ Investor Day in 2020, paving the way for release in 2022.

1 Wednesday Brings The Addams Family To Netflix

November 23rd

The highly-anticipated Wednesday drops on Netflix just in time for Thanksgiving. Based on the character from the Addams Family, Wednesday Addams attends Nevermore Academy where she tries to fit in and solve a decades-long mystery at the same time. All eight episodes will drop at release.

Tim Burton helped develop Wednesday for Netflix after famously passing on the 1991 film adaptation to direct Batman Returns. The series stars Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez as the members of the Addams Family.
