The sequel to this year's animated adaptation of The Death of Superman, Reign of the Supermen, has just released its latest trailer showcasing its titular four replacement heroes in the wake of the last son of Krypton's death.

As the Justice League and world copes with the loss of its greatest hero at the hands of Doomsday, a generation of superheroes inspired by his sacrifice arise including The Eradicator, Superboy, Steel, and Cyborg Superman.

"For my people, death isn't always the end," reveals Cyborg Superman in a private moment with a grieving Lois Lane.

As the entire planet stands threatened by an alien invasion and with at least one of the new heroes not all that he appears, the eponymous Supermen will definitely come to blows leaving only one hero to claim the true mantle as the Man of Steel.

Directed by Sam Liu, Reign of the Supermen stars Cameron Monaghan, Jerry O’Connell, Cress Williams, Patrick Fabian, Rebecca Romijn, Nathan Fillion, Rainn Wilson, Toks Olagundoye, and Nyambi Nyambi. It is expected to be released sometime in 2019.
