We've always heard "Nothing can stop the Juggernaut, but this week's Shelf Porn puts that old adage to the test when Juggernaut meets an even BIGGER Juggernaut. Luckily neither of them can actually move, because they're statues, or else we'd have quite a collision.

Today's collection comes from Peter in Great Britain, who shows us his hardcovers, statues, books and more. If you'd like to see your collection here, you can find submission details at the end of the post.

And now let's hear from Peter ...

*****

I first started reading comics when I was just a young whippersnapper, being English I read Rainbow comics when I was 3 year old then moved onto reading my older brothers collection of Beano & Dandy until I was old enough to buy my own. I stopped reading comics somewhere along the way but skip to 2008 and I discovered digital comics, which then got me into the gorgeous oversized Marvel collections. I bought a few and even got my first Omnibus (Punisher by Ennis) but then I drifted away again. Now I'm 30 I've resumed my collecting but now I collect not only Marvel, but DC, Image, and some European publishers.

I'd like to mention these shots are from my old collection, It's a snapshot of what I had maybe 18 months ago so a lot is missing. If you enjoy these blurry cell phone shots I can hopefully send in some photos of my new shelves if Shelf Porn allows me on twice.

The very first Marvel books I bought. I had a few Bowens before then of some of the Spidey villains.

I read all sorts but my favourite author is King, I have a few signed books from when he came to London for some signings

I'm not very knowledgeable with DC but I love discovering interesting new characters like Grodd & Lobo

I love this sculpt so had to include it here

Squaring up against the 25" tall Sideshow Collectibles Juggernaut maquette, based on the movie

These shots are from my old bedroom, when I still lived with my parents

I had around 2000 novels in those days, when I moved out into my own place I had to slim it down to just my favourite few (favourite few hundred mind), no easy task for an obsessive collector/hoarder like myself

I also collected all the Eaglemoss Marvel and DC lead figurines, hundreds of them, sadly all in storage now

These are the first shelves we installed in my new place, left side instantly full

Although those on the right had plenty of room back then, all full these days though. I wish we had planned these better. They're super strong shelves but the gaps between shelves is too narrow and we should have started a bit lower and ended a bit closer to the ceiling

Second hand Billy bookcase that houses my remaining paperbacks, long since chopped up and thrown away.

Some of the many great Beano/Dandy characters, again no room for this cabinet anymore so these all reside in my kitchen (of all places) now

Back to Marvel my Bowen designs statues

Finally we get to my main bookcase, the ikea 5x5 expedit, this is my smallish bedroom so I had to dismantle the bed just to take the photo. I have two of these now, the first one is full with the second maybe half full - for now!

I'm a big Hulk fan so I had to get Rulk and Maestro

I would like to thank Shelf Porn for letting me share my collection with your viewers. I get a lot of criticism from my mates over my comic books so it's nice to connect with other collectors out there.
