Thank god Quicksilver didn't have to live through the days of dial-up.

In a new ad for British internet provider Sky Fibre and Fox's "X-Men: Apocalypse," Quicksilver (played by Evan Peters) charms a fellow hotel patron that is having trouble with her internet broadband connection by dashing around the lobby and turning off the wifi-connected devices of fellow X-Men members that are throttling the connection. The scene's action evokes Quicksilver's iconic scene from "X-Men: Days of Future Past," and its background music -- Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love -- brings to mind the classic soundtrack from "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Of course, the promotional ad spot, which also features Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, begs the question of how the X-Men of the 1980s have found themselves in a hotel powered by 21st century internet magic, but it's probably best not to worry too much about such things.
