After premiering last summer, Amazon Studios' television adaptation of The Boys has been heralded as one of the most popular original series on the digital platform -- but don't ask the series creators for specifics behind its streaming numbers.

Seth Rogen, who co-created the adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic book series along with fellow executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg, admitted that he doesn't actually have access to the exact viewership numbers for The Boys. However, Rogen has been assured by Amazon that the series has proved popular with audiences since its debut.

"They've conveyed to us that it is quite popular," Rogen noted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "It's for sure the most popular thing we've made. I could quantify every failure I've ever had for you, but I could not give you specifics on our success."

A week before the series premiere, Amazon announced it had renewed The Boys for a second season, with principal photography on Season 2 completed this past November. As opposed to being released all at once, Season 2 will air each new episode weekly, from its premiere this September to the season finale in October. In another strong show of the series' success, Amazon has already announced it has renewed The Boys for a third season as part of its Comic-Con@Home presentation.
