The release window for Norm Konyu's highly-anticipated debut graphic novel The Junction has been revealed by Titan Comics.
CBR can exclusively reveal The Junction arrives in stores in April 2022. The graphic novel follows a missing boy named Lucas Jones, who mysteriously reappears on his uncle's doorstep after 12 years. Instead of being older during his time away, Lucas still appears to be 11 years old. His family, a detective and a child psychologist soon start to investigate what happened to Lucas, along with the whereabouts of his father, who also went missing at the same time.
"I'm so excited that Titan Comics has given me the opportunity to share the world of The Junction, a project I began way back in 2012 with some notes scrawled on scrap paper," Konyu said. "I had to rediscover my personal style to tell the tale, stitching together memories of growing up in small-town Canada with dream imagery. It's been a challenging project, but a deeply personal one that I hope resonates with readers."
The Junction landed on numerous "Best of" lists, including AP2HYC's favorite indie comics of 2020 and Pipedream Comics' second-best indie comics of 2020. Norm Konyu was also among Broken Frontier's Top 6 creators to watch in 2021. He is an animator and illustrator who has worked for BBC, DreamWorks, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Residing in the UK, The Junction marks Konyu's return to comics since his years as a teenager.
