Jordan Peele's most recent hit thriller, Nope, has announced a special Collector's Edition with a plethora of additional content.

The bonus features, which will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital, include five exclusive deleted scenes from the movie and a gag reel featuring the main cast's best bloopers and outtakes. Two special featurettes will also be included on all Collector's Editions: "Call Him Jean Jacket," which Universal Pictures describes as "an exploration into the conception, design and execution of entity 'Jean Jacket' in which filmmakers provide insights into the conception, design, and execution of this mysterious organism," and "Mystery Man of Muybridge," which is "a deep dive into 'The Horse in Motion' by Eadweard Muybridge, its relationship to the Haywoods, and how it relates to the larger themes in NOPE."

An additional special feature will not be included in the DVD release: "Shadows: The Making of Nope." This 56-minute behind-the-scenes documentary will serve as a deep dive into Peele's vision for the movie, show his filmmaking process in detail, and reveal secrets about the film's "unanswered questions."

Peele's History and Future in Film

Peele recently hinted that there was a chance Nope could be getting a sequel, saying that "we're not over telling all of these stories," in response to a question about fan theories surrounding a mysterious character who was absent from the film's final cut. A sequel or second movie set in the same universe would be a first for Peele, whose previous projects, the critically acclaimed Get Out and Us, released respectively in 2017 and 2019, have remained stand-along movies.

Nope, which was released in July 2022, was Peele's third movie as director, following his extremely successful debut Get Out, which achieved 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and his follow-up Us, which saw similar success with critics and in the box office. Peele's next project is Wendell & Wild, a stop-motion horror comedy which he has co-written and produced, and will also star in alongside long-time collaborator Keegan-Michael Key. It is directed by Henry Selick, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Peele, and is set to be released in select theaters on Oct. 21 ahead of a Netflix release Oct. 28.

The Nope Collector’s Edition is available on Digital beginning Sept. 20, and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™ and DVD on Oct. 25.
