Marvel.com has announced that "Lumberjanes" writer and "Nimona" creator Noelle Stevenson is set to write part of the upcoming "Thor Annual" #1, releasing February 2015. The story, with art by Marguerite Sauvage, focuses on the new Thor recently introduced in Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman's "Thor" #1.

"['Thor' editor] Wil [Moss] asked me to do a story about the recent female iteration of Thor," Stevenson told Marvel.com. "It's a fun challenge both as a fan of the classic character, but also to be working with a new character who readers haven't seen as much of yet. I have the old mythology to work with, but I can also help contribute a little bit of new mythology as well!"

Stevenson isn't the only scribe making her Marvel debut with "Thor Annual" #1 -- WWE wrestler CM Punk will pen a story about young Thor Odinson, drawn by "Chew's" Rob Guillory. The issue will be rounded out with Jason Aaron and Timothy Truman's story set in the future and featuring "Thor: God of Thunder's" King Thor.

"Thor Annual" #1 hits stores February 2015.
