Next year's No Time To Die will force James Bond to come out of retirement and face a villain that will pit the iconic superspy in the fight of his life.

With principal photography on the upcoming sequel having just wrapped last week, longtime franchise producer Barbara Broccoli has shared new details about the films's mysterious villain, portrayed by Rami Malek (Mr. Robot). Going by the name Safin, the antagonist will quickly become a personal foe of James Bond, unlike anyone he has ever faced before.

"We’ve thrown the book at him on this one," Broccoli told Empire. "He is really the supervillain. He’s the one that really gets under Bond’s skin. He’s a nasty piece of work."

No Time To Die has Bond emerge from retirement in Jamaica after his old CIA friend Felix Leiter recruits him to stop Safin from using dangerous new technology that threatens the entire world. Together with his MI6 allies, the former 007 will be pushed to his limits as he works to stop the supervillain.

Directed and co-written by Cary Fukunaga, No Time to Die stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.
