Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, the remastered collection of the first two skateboarding video games in the Tony Hawk's series, received a release date for its upcoming Nintendo Switch version.

Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that players would be able to buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on their Switch on June 25. "Skate through all the classic levels with some of your favorite pro skaters and a whole lot more," Nintendo posted. The levels and skaters from the remaster first appeared in the original games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, which released on PlayStation in 1999 and 2000, respectively.

The remaster initially released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in September of last year with next-gen versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S becoming available on Mar. 26, 2021. Activision shared that the game was the fastest-selling game in the Tony Hawk's franchise, selling one million copies in two weeks. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 received the 2020 Game Award for Best Sports/Racing Game, redeeming the franchise from the legacy its previous entry Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, which was critically panned at the time of its 2015 release.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2's Nintendo Switch version will share a release date with another major Nintendo Switch sports title: Mario Golf: Super Rush. The next installment in the Mario Golf franchise was first announced at February's Nintendo Direct. The game will feature new game modes, such as Speed Golf during which all players golf at the same time, and a story mode in which players can upgrade their Mii character's stats and abilities. Nintendo also revealed that players can choose between button controls or motion controls.

Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The remaster will release for the Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2021.
