When Nintendo first announced the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online, fans hoped to see some of their favorite titles from the Nintendo 64. However, the services have been lackluster and have faced criticism for their bare lineup of titles. Nintendo recently began adding titles to the service with announcements of cult favorites such as 007 Golden Eye and Pokémon Stadium.

While the announced titles help boost the service, more games still need to be added to the lineup. Offering games from older systems allows players to embrace the nostalgia of when they first started gaming. Adding titles like this could ultimately help save the service.

Conker's Bad Fur Day Would Bring Days of Play for Fans

Conker's Bad Fur Day was a game that broke the video game mold of the time, having a cursing drunkard of a main character wielding his trusty frying pan. As the title suggests, the entirety of the game happens over a single day, though with how much is jam-packed into the game, that may be hard for some to believe. This game takes the player through a vampire mansion, down a drain into a prehistoric society with dinosaurs, into outer space, and more. Players have wanted to see this game return since the launch of modern gaming systems, and after the lackluster remaster Conker: Live & Reloaded, now would be the perfect time to bring the title back.

Diddy Kong Racing Took the Racing Genre to a New Level

Diddy approaches Tricky boss in Diddy Kong Racing

Diddy Kong Racing is so much more than a kart racer. Racers can also pilot planes and hovercraft along with the classic car. Choosing the right vehicle can lead to victory but the wrong choice and a player can find themselves left behind. In Adventure Mode, players can traverse the story and battle bosses to unlock an additional mode. Diddy Kong Racing also offers battle modes, where players can capture eggs or play in death matches. The grand return of such an iconic racer could boost the Expansion Pack and open the doors to having players be able to race each other online instead of the limited LAN play the original was stuck with, boosting the service even further.

The Original Super Smash Bros. Can Show Players Where It All Began

Super Smash Brothers Nintendo 64 Box Art

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, MultiVersus, and similar titles owe part of their success to the original Super Smash Bros. The original changed the fighting genre by not having combatants deplete a health bar but instead damage opponents until reaching a point where they can be knocked out of bounds. By returning to the point of origin, fans will be able to feel the nostalgia of playing the grandfather of the platform fighter. This will also allow players to see how far the title has developed and test their modern Super Smash Bros. tactics on the original title.

Bomberman 64 Was a Staple of the Shift to 3D Games

Bomberman 64 is, as the title suggests, a game where players throw around bombs and destroy boxes. Players become a character called Bomberman who can use various upgrades to create larger and stronger explosions with bombs. This landmark piece was unique because it marked a drastic shift in the video game visuals from the 2D side-scroller style to 3D. Many fans have lasting memories of playing solo or multiplayer and being able to run around and blast blocks before trapping a friend in a corner using leveled bombs. Adding Bomberman 64 to the Expansion Pass lineup could help beckon in other influential older titles, drawing a whole new type of gamer to the service.

Glover Was an Odd Game That Lives on in the Memory of Fans

Glover follows the story of a wizard's glove. Players take on the role of the glove and traverse a mystical land using a ball that can change forms to battle enemies -- all while attempting to defeat the wizard's other glove and return the lands to normal. Seeing as the majority of reviews for the re-release on Steam have to do with the port, not the actual game, should Nintendo port the game correctly to the online service, it could drive many players who are seeking to replay a favorite of their childhood to the Expansion Pack.
