After months of speculation, Nintendo has confirmed it's releasing a 35th-anniversary edition of Super Mario All-Stars, collecting three of its flagship franchise's most influential 3D games.As part of the most recent Nintendo Direct, the company unveiled a trailer for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, compiling 1996's Super Mario 64, 2002's Super Mario Sunshine and 2007's Super Mario Galaxy. The compilation will be released on Sept. 18, but only available for a limited time, until the end of March 2021.

The compilation marks the first time Super Mario Sunshine has been available beyond GameCube. The title went on to sell over five million copies to become one of the bestselling titles on the console. Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy have both since been ported to other Nintendo consoles after their respective debuts on the N64 and Wii.

Reports arose in March that Nintendo was working on remastered editions of Mario's 3D games, including the trio compiled games, for the franchise's 35th anniversary. Since the original Super Mario Bros.' release on NES in September 1985, the franchise has gone on to become Nintendo's flagship property, inspiring countless spinoffs and helping launch every home and handheld console by the venerable video game company.

Published by Nintendo, Super Mario 3D All-Stars will be available on Nintendo Switch from Sept. 18 through March 2021.
