Of course, there are some Nintendo properties that have entered the anime industry, with Pokémon having long surpassed its 1000th episode. However, characters such as Link and Pit could have their legendary stories told to a wider audience. Fans have universally agreed that Nintendo could tap into a goldmine by allowing their characters to have anime shows, with the capability to adapt classic and even more recent games and the stories within those games.

10 Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Pyra & Mythra, Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, released back in 2017 on the Nintendo Switch, is now a beloved game by many Nintendo Fans. This JRPG is considered to be one of the "most anime" video games that Nintendo has ever produced, with a more cutesy art style.

Fans of this video game would love to see it getting an anime adaptation as the Xenoblade Chronicles series has a big emphasis on mechas. In fact, the climax is just one big mech battle. If this story was adapted through the anime industry, people who have never seen the series would be bewildered and awed by its story, especially with the main character, Rex, dying early on in the game. As well, many fans would love to see the many amazing character designs be animated in 2D.

9 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentina

Fans have long been demanding for Fire Emblem to receive an anime adaptation of some sort. Amongst the many games, many fans have universally praised Fire Emblem Echoes for its beautiful and surprisingly personal story and its amazing soundtrack. The story revolves around Alm, a commoner, and Celica, who was a princess, as they meet as children. The two become best friends, but their friendship is short-lived as war swoops in.

The opening of the story would immediately grasp an audience, having a surprisingly emotional weight to it that establishes the theme of the story of their friendship and of war. Newcomers to the story could find themselves in tears as they watch Celica and Alm's story unfold.

8 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Zelda Ocarina of Time

Everyone's been demanding that a Legend of Zelda anime be made over the past decade. Many fans agree that the best entry in the series to get its story animated would be Ocarina of Time, as it is the most popular and famous entry in the series besides Breath of the Wild. The video game is the very foundation and a great introduction to the Zelda franchise, and what the Zelda games are all about.

Ocarina of Time displays the classic Legend of Zelda story of Link and Zelda taking down Ganondorf and restoring the Triforce. If animated, people would be able to see famous characters such as Shiek and the Deku Tree. The game's story would be entertaining to watch, with lots of music having the potential to be orchestrated and reworked for anime, such as Zelda's Lullaby and Epona's Theme.

7 The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask would be a great second season and follow up in the case that Ocarina of Time is adapted into an anime. The game itself is the direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, as players continue young Link's adventures after defeating Ganondorf. Majora's Mask in of itself is a great sequel, as well as being a standalone story. It introduces Skull Kid, one of the most beloved Zelda antagonists to date, and gives the player anxiety as they are on the clock before the moon comes crashing down on Hyrule.

This anxiety would translate well into anime as Link tries to clear the dungeons and stop the moon from crashing, all the while trying to take down the Skull Kid. Additionally, many would appreciate a darker turn to the Zelda formula in the anime just like the game.

6 Fire Emblem: Three Houses

5 Shin Megami Tensei V

Nahabino, Shin Megami Tensei

Shin Megami Tensei V brings the player into a world unlike no other. SMTV, despite only having released last fall, garnered a lot of attention from fans with its post-apocalyptic setting and interesting story that is reminiscent of the Matrix.

The story revolves around how the protagonist Nahabino learns that the Japan he lives in is only an illusion and that the real world was taken over by demons. The game, though a fan favorite to fans of the series, doesn't have an emphasis on a story. Fans would be excited to see SMTV get adapted into an anime so that it could properly tell its story and its characters.

Skyward Sword is easily the most cinematic video game Nintendo has made. Despite fans being divided over the controls for this game, they all admit that the story is one of, if not the, best Zelda story ever told. Skyward Sword plays out as the origin story for Link and Zelda's stories, setting up and explaining what the Triforce is and the Goddess that created it.

The world of Skyloft is beautiful, as is the world underneath its clouds. Skyward Sword has beautiful music and now beloved characters, with the most expressive version of Link and Zelda.

Fire Emblem: Awakening, similar to Xenoblade Chronicles, is now considered by man as a modern classic. The game has a lot of sentimental value for many fans as it was developed with the intention of being the final Fire Emblem game. The game also changed the Fire Emblem aesthetic to become more anime, garnering many people's attention. Similar to Shadows of Valentia, it has fully animated cutscenes. These cutscenes left many fans wishing that Fire Emblem would get an anime.
