The following article contains spoilers from Nightwing #95, on sale now.

Blockbuster and Nightwing go head-to-head in a violent brawl in the final pages of Nightwing #95, and the battle ends with Dick Grayson's mask falling off.

The fight is instigated by Blockbuster after Nightwing's efforts to dismantle the crime boss' organization escalate to new levels. Issue #95 sees Nightwing enlisting aid from not only Blüdhaven's new police commissioner Maggie Sawyer, but also the entire Bat Family and the Titans. Under the power of their combined forces, Blockbuster's drug enterprises and other shady business dealings have no room to grow, and the frustrated gangster launches a missile at the city's gates to catch Nightwing's attention.

One of Nightwing’s Worst Enemies Just Learned His Secret Identity

Dick confronts Blockbuster in the flames of the Haven Library and drops his escrima sticks to protect the lives of two children in Blockbuster's clutches. Blockbuster steps on Nightwing's back and brings his massive fists down on the former Boy Wonder before reacting in rage as he learns Dick's true identity.

Blockbuster and Dick Grayson have gone toe-to-toe against each other over the course of writer Tom Taylor's current run on Nightwing, with Dick using all of his resources to invest in Blüdhaven's infrastructure. As the city's underprivileged areas seeing new attention and corrupt officials forced out into the light, Blüdhaven is on the verge of changing -- and Blockbuster refuses to let his hold over one of the most crime-ridden cities in the DC universe slip away.

Who Is Blockbuster?

Blockbuster's full name is Roland Desmond and the character first debuted in 1989's Starman #9 as a steroid-enhanced bruiser. Roland's initial appearances were similar to his brother Mark, the first DC villain to use the title Blockbuster, but the character grew into his own during writer Chuck Dixon's tenure on the Nightwing series of the late '90s and early 2000s, which saw Dick Grayson leave the Teen Titans and Gotham City to forge a new destiny for himself in Blüdhaven.

In the midst of a dangerous new city, Dick frequently tangoed with Blockbuster, and the gangster became one of the most prominent members of his rogues' gallery. Taylor's recent stories have channeled Dixon's old series, bringing the fierce antagonism between Blockbuster and Dick back to the forefront after DC's New 52 and Rebirth reboots largely wiped it away.

Nightwing #95 comes from writer Tom Taylor, artist Bruno Redondo, inkers Caio Filipe, colorist Adriano Lucas and letterer Wes Abbott. The issue, which is now on sale from DC, features a cover by Redondo and variant covers by Jamal Campbell, David Talaski, Nicola Scott and Annette Kwok.
