Ever since its inception, Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe of movies encountered roadblocks along the way. Although there was a plan in place, critical panning and disappointing box-office performances led to an ever-shifting production slate that saw over a dozen superhero films in various stages of development at one point or another. However, now that the studio's Justice League is behind them, Warner Bros. is looking to steer the ship right with new DC Films chief Walter Hamada, who reportedly inherited a mess of a production plate.Well, according to Chris McKay, the director tapped to helm to long-gestating Nightwing film, Hamada is not only fixing the DCEU trajectory, he's creating something to be truly excited about. "I’m excited by everything Walter Hamada is doing at WB/DC," McKay wrote on Twitter. "If you love DC or Movie Superheroes in general this is a great time to be alive. Patience is a good thing."RELATED: Is Henry Cavill Preparing to Play Superman Again (Pretty Soon)?

While McKay may not have anything new to say on his Dick Grayson solo film, he did go on to praise Matt Reeves' work on the upcoming Batman solo film, which may now feature a much younger Bruce Wayne. "As both a fan and a filmmaker I can’t wait to see what @mattreevesLA is creating in Gotham City," McKay wrote.

The future is looking bright for the DCEU. Hopefully, news of Hamada's revised slate will be revealed sooner rather than later. Then, fans will have many official DC superhero films to look forward to.
