Nightwing goes back to a fan-favorite style in this upcoming week's DC Comics releases.

To quote the solicitation text from Nightwing #88, "The blue stripes are back!" This refers to the blue sleeves of the hero's costume, which have been absent from his attire ever since the New 52 era of DC rebooted Dick Grayson's look, even trading in his typical blue accents for red. Before this change, writer Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo had already brought back many elements of Grayson's history in the current ongoing series, such as his return to fighting crime in Blüdhaven and his romantic relationship with Barbara Gordon, and the costume update marks just another blast from the past for Nightwing fans. However, there is much more coming from DC Comics than only new super suits.

From Taylor's other ongoing series, Superman (Jon Kent) is about to tackle a hot topic of the modern era: climate change. The cover for Superman: Son of Kal-El #7 shows the hero marching alongside young protesters, but how this factors into the Man of Steel and Jay Nakamura's fight against Gamorran leader Henry Bendix remains to be seen. Other leading DC heroes are also at the forefront of releases this week, such as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Batman.

Batman's origin is retold in writer Chip Zdarksy's Batman: The Knight #1, Diana Prince stars in both Wonder Woman #783 and Wonder Woman: Evolution #3 and Jon Stewart faces a new challenge in Green Lantern #10, with so much more out on shelves and digitally as well.
