Night of the Animated Dead, the animated remake of George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead, debuted gruesome new box art to announce the impending home release dates.

As announced by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Night of the Animated Dead arrives on Digital Sept. 21 and on Blu-ray Combo Pack & DVD Oct. 5. The new box art can be found below:

Along with the box art and release date announcement, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released the following synopsis:

In Night of the Animated Dead, siblings Barbara and Johnny visit their father’s grave in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania when they are suddenly set upon by zombies. Barbara flees and takes refuge in an abandoned farmhouse along with stranded motorist Ben and four local survivors found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices.

Announced in July, Night of the Animated Dead is a recreation of the 1968 Romero classic that spawned the entire zombie genre. Directed by Jason Axinn, the film features the voice talents of Josh Duhamel as Harry Cooper, Dulé Hill as Ben, Katharine Isabelle as Barbara, James Roday Rodriguez as Tom, Katee Sackhoff as Judy, Will Sasso as Sheriff McClelland, Jimmy Simpson as Johnny and Nancy Travis as Helen Cooper.

Night of the Animated Dead arrives Digital Sept. 21 and on Blu-ray Combo Pack & DVD Oct. 5.
