During a panel at the Television Critics Association, former "Daredevil" showrunner Steven DeKnight discussed the series' first season and revealed an interesting bit of information regarding Rosario Dawson's character of Claire Temple.

Many fans originally suspected Dawson of playing the character of Night Nurse -- a superhero nurse that plays a major role in the world of Doctor Strange. However, during the series, it was revealed Dawson -- while a nurse -- was instead Claire Temple, in the comics a love interest of Luke Cage.

DeKnight admitted that they originally wanted to use Night Nurse; however, they were unable because theatrical apparently has plans for the character.

"The feature side had plans for her down the road so that was the only time we ran into a conflict," DeKnight said at the event. "So we just used another name."

While DeKnight doesn't say "Doctor Strange" by name, as mentioned, Night Nurse is a key part of the world and was once a love interest for the Sorcerer Supreme. Coupled with the news that Rachel McAdams is in talks to play a lead female role in the upcoming film, one could assume she's up for some post-daylight doctoring.

Then again, you know what they say about making assumptions.

"Doctor Strange" arrives in theaters November 4, 2016. "Daredevil" Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
