Nickelodeon has been producing quality animated shows for decades. These shows have captivated audiences and spawned several spinoffs, movies, games, and more. Several Nicktoons have enjoyed immense success and gone on for multiple seasons, like Rugrats or SpongeBob SquarePants.

Unfortunately, other Nicktoons did not do as well. Most Nicktoons lasted between three and five seasons and showed their last episodes five years ago or more. Of course, there are shows that have ended more recently and those that continue to air, but some older Nicktoons deserve their spot in the limelight again. A revival of the classic Nickelodeon cartoons would excite fans of all ages.

10 Modern Life Looks A Lot Different (Rocko's Modern Life)Rocko's Modern Life Cartoon

Premiering in September 1993, Rocko's Modern Life was one of the earliest Nicktoons. The show focused on Rocko, who was a wallaby trying to navigate everyday life. The show was amazing and appealed to children and adults alike.

If the show returned, it could tackle the issues of current "modern life" that were not issues back when the series first aired. Not only could the show do well with children, but if it continued its use of double entendres, it could attract new adult fans as well as those who loved the show to begin with.

9 Life Is A Smashing Adventure (The Wild Thornberrys)the wild thornberrys nickelodeon

The Wild Thornberrys entertained audiences with the wildlife adventures of the Thornberrys and Eliza's ability to speak with wildlife. The show brought a love for wildlife into families that watched, and grew an appreciation for preserving that wildlife.

The Thornberrys were a collection of eccentric personalities that taught acceptance of others to viewers. Fan favorite characters Nigel and Donny continue to be popular despite the show ending way back in 2004. The Wild Thornberrys could enjoy a resurgence if it were brought back, and could even explore the Thornberry family later in life.

8 Sometimes Anger Is A Good Thing (Angry Beavers)The Angry Beavers show from Nickelodeon

Norbert and Daggett Beaver were the stars of Nickelodeon's Angry Beavers. The show was full of more mature wordplay and references to pop culture, but it also contained plenty of over-the-top scenarios that kept younger audiences entertained.

Being a cartoon that appealed to multiple audiences helped Angry Beavers gain success when it originally aired and would also help a renewed series. References to pop culture have been a popular theme, and would help audiences connect to a new version of the show. This is another instance where a renewal could pick up fresh or begin the series later in the brothers' lives.

7 Time To Go Ghost (Danny Phantom)Danny Phantom Punching

Danny Phantom was one of the few superhero shows to come from Nickelodeon, and it was a massive hit. The series focused on the adventures of Danny Fenton and his friends after Danny had an accident in his ghost-hunting parents' lab that turned him half-ghost.

The show hit the chopping block due to going over budget, but the cancellation was met with heavy protest from fans. With the main characters being the social outcasts at their school, it helped show that anyone can make a positive difference in the world and that popularity isn't the most important thing. Danny Phantom being remade would cause fans to flood back, ready for more ghost-fighting adventures.

6 Arnold Was The Average Kid Next Door (Hey Arnold!)Hey Arnold from Nickelodeon

Hey Arnold! ran on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2004 and focused on the life of fourth-grader Arnold Shortman. The show focused on the everyday issues of a young kid in a large city and included a very diverse cast. Arnold and his friends navigated big city problems as well as urban legends while dealing with the antics of his neighbors.

A reboot of Hey Arnold! would have a whole slew of new social issues that could be tackled to help new viewers connect to the show. Leaving the characters as they were in the original series would be a great move, since they covered different demographics across age, race, and ethnicity. A reboot could fit nicely into the current entertainment and political climates.

5 A Strange Combination That Is Ready To Return (CatDog)CatDog Standing By Sign

CatDog was one of the Nicktoons that, while it did not have very high ratings, had a very loyal fan base. CatDog focused on the title characters, Cat and Dog, who were conjoined brothers with one's head at each end of their body and no hind end.

The show focused heavily on the fact that although the two brothers were extremely different, they were still able to respect and love each other. Such a message would be fantastic to send out to audiences yet again, and is easy to digest due to the humor of the show. A rebooted CatDog could help fans laugh and love.

4 A Little Advice Can Go A Long Way (As Told By Ginger)As-Told-By-Ginger-Diary-1

The only Nicktoon to be promoted to TEENick was the coming-of-age drama As Told By Ginger. The series focused on the life of Ginger Foutley as she navigated through junior high and high school. The series was celebrated for having an ongoing story arc, characters that actually aged, and for addressing real-life issues.

A new generation deserves a show that can help them navigate life through adolescence, and a reboot of As Told By Ginger would be the perfect series. The original series tackled topics other shows would not and could not address, and it could be a comfort to viewers going through similar issues.

3 Determination Can Lead To Success (Invader Zim)Invader_Zim

Invader Zim was a Nicktoon series that focused on a disgraced alien invader who was sent to Earth in an attempt to get him as far from his fellow aliens as possible. Zim's hilarious failed attempts to take over Earth, unfortunately, did not seem to find a time slot that worked for the show and its intended audience.

Invader Zim was cut during the production of its second season but did see some brief comebacks afterward. The merchandise also continues to be popular, especially thanks to the robot sidekick GIR. Despite the series' issues with its original run, a reboot could bring old fans back and attract new fans.

2 Extreme Sports Are A Blast (Rocket Power)Rocket Power

Nickelodeons Rocket Power originally ran from 1999 to 2004 with reruns showing as late as 2017. The show was about the daily adventures of four junior high kids who loved extreme sports. The themes of finding good friends and trying to fit in would resonate with every viewer. The love of extreme sports would also help viewers become interested in being more active and would be beneficial. A reboot could begin at the same age range or show aged versions of the characters whether as teens or adults.

1 Science Is Fun And Exciting (The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius)

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius was the first computer animated Nicktoon, which ran from 2002 to 2006 and was immensely popular. The series' main focus was a ten-year-old boy genius, Jimmy Neutron, and the shenanigans he and his friends got into, often due to Jimmy's inventions.

The first season was focused on younger viewers, but the following seasons began to focus on tween and teen audiences with more character development. A reboot could choose either or both audiences to focus on and would help promote an interest in science as well as accepting those deemed odd by others.
