The announcement of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl took the fighting game community by surprise with its promise of rollback netcode and competitive-focused gameplay. While the entire roster wasn't revealed in the trailer, the characters shown off were also a pleasant surprise. Soon after, a supposed cover for the game was leaked that showed off silhouettes of characters not yet announced among those shown in the reveal trailer.

It seems as though Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is shaping up to be a solid Super Smash Bros-like crossover fighting game that plenty online are excited for. The cover leak also got people nostalgic for classic Nickelodeon cartoons speculating on what deep-cut characters could show up in the game's full roster, leaving everyone hoping that maybe, just maybe, their favorite NickToon could still show up.

Jimmy Neutron

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron

There are a lot of classic Nicktoons characters missing from All-Star Brawl's initial trailer, including names like Timmy Turner, Ren, Stimpy and most notably, Jimmy Neutron. Not only is he from what many consider to be the golden era of Nickelodeon, but the series was also a big deal when it came to 3D-animated television shows.

The Boy Genius could have a fairly well-defined move set based on his various inventions from the show. If Fair Play Labs needs a bit more to draw from, they can always look at the classic Nicktoons crossover game, Nicktoons Unite. Given that Fair Play Labs seems to be trying to pull characters from across Nickelodeon's history, it'd feel strange not to have Jimmy Neutron on the roster.

CatDog

The box art leak may have revealed quite a few characters that would be tons of fun to play, but none were quite as surprising to see as CatDog. CatDog's another show from the '90s era of Nickelodeon, and, outside of a few cameo appearances, the titular character hasn't shown up too often. However, if this box art leak is true, then the developers are really going for some nostalgic characters.

As for how CatDog could work in this kind of fighting game, there's certainly a case to be made for them playing similarly to someone like Pyra and Mythra from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The developers could figure out playstyles for characters like Nigel Thornberry and Helga, so CatDog could easily be given a distinct playstyle. With how nostalgic CatDog is for many fans, a crossover game like All-Star Brawl would be a great way to bring them back.

Rocko

Rocko's Modern Life

Rocko's Modern Life is the go-to show most people point to when talking about underrated Nicktoons. The series got a boost in the public conscious with 2019's Netflix special Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, with fans on social media hoping that the special would lead to a revival of some kind. While a new series or movie hasn't been announced yet, Rocko being added to All-Star Brawl could be a great way for Nickelodeon to keep giving a classic series love.

Rocko's playstyle and move set would be a bit tricky since he's more known for being accident-prone and timid. That being said, there are far stranger characters than Rocko already in All-Star Brawl, and it appears as though they have some pretty creative movesets. No matter how his moveset is made, Rocko's inclusion would go a long way in keeping interest in the series alive.

Jenny (XJ-9)

My Life as a Teenage Robot

Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot is probably one of the most requested characters for All-Star Brawl that didn't appear as part of the cover art leak. Ironically, she's probably the most suited for a Smash-like fighting game. Not only would she have a great air game, but there's also tons of potential for her to have projectiles, too. She'd even be able to represent a Nicktoons era that doesn't actually have too much representation in All-Star Brawl.

With a huge range of possible weapons, including her head drill and rocket pigtails, Jenny could be a ton of fun to play. While her series has a ton of nostalgic appeal, it actually only ran for 40 episodes despite its popularity. A fighting game where Jenny fits in perfectly would greatly reignite interest in the series.

El Tigre

El Tigre The Adventures of Manny Rivera

For those who don't remember El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, this lesser-known Nickelodeon series was a high-energy romp about the titular Manny Rivers fighting crime in the fictional Miracle City. This show was a great representation of Mexican culture and could be called one of the best Flash-made animations ever. Series creator Jorge Gutierrez structured many of the more grounded events in the show on his own childhood, giving each episode's plot believability amongst the comic-like action.

El Tigre would be an amazing rushdown or combo-focused fighter that would be pretty straightforward when it comes to translating that to a moveset. El Tigre is a lesser-known but equally beloved Nickelodeon character. Including characters with significant cult followings could do for the El Tigre franchise what Ness's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. did for the Mother series.
