Ronda Rousey made some comments about WWE and its fans on the podcast Wild Ride! With Steve-O. She called the fans of WWE ungrateful and referred to professional wrestling as "having fake fights for fun."
Rousey was met with backlash from at least three WWE performers, but the most recent raised some eyebrows of her own. WWE superstar Nia Jax said she will knock out Rousey if the two ever get in a ring together.
Jax made her comment on Twitter after Alexa Bliss and Lana confronted Rousey on social media. The two superstars asked how wrestling was fake with all the injuries that take place. Rousey fired back on Twitter, standing by her statements. Jax, who herself has just recovered from ACL tears in both knees while wrestling, popped up two hours later to make her threat.
Jax said that she "can’t wait for Ronda 2 one day return 2 WWE," and went on to claim that even if WWE orders her to make Rousey look good, she will risk her job and "go down in history as the one from this biz that knocked her the F**K out!"
Rousey is a former WWE Raw Women's Champion, a title she won from Bliss before enjoying a 231-day reign as champion. During that run, she had multiple matches against both Bliss and Jax before losing to Lynch at WrestleMania 35. Rousey has not wrestled in WWE since that match.
