KC Green, the artist best known for the memetic "This Is Fine" comic strip, is making it clear he believes NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are not fine.In an image posted to Twitter, Green tells people, "Don't message me about NFTs." Green's message continues with some harsh words for creators who do sell NFTs of their work: "I believe [NFTs] are antithetical to what is fun and important about posting your art online and don't respect those who participate in the scheme."

NFTs are blockchain-based certificates of ownership over pieces of digital art, though they do not restrict access to the original files, nor do they confer copyright privileges to the buyers. Many artists and corporations have entered the NFT marketplace, which boomed in value earlier this year before prices began to plunge. However, there have been also many objections to NFTs, mainly in regards to the resource-intensive environmentally unfriendly nature of blockchain services, as well as proliferating art theft in the marketplace and comparisons to pyramid schemes.
