New York Comic Con is reassuring fans that they are looking into accusations about hacked reservations for the upcoming event.

On Sept. 27, the New York Comic Con (NYCC) official Twitter account posted a statement after the event's servers crashed the day prior due to overwhelming fan demand. "Hey NYCC fans - We wanted to give you a quick update that the team is working on resolving yesterday's issues to get reservations back up and running succesfully," the post reads. "We will have an answer tomorrow on the new date and time they will go live. If you were able to successfully make your reservations yesterday, you will be able to keep them. At this time, no reservations are completely full and all panel, exhibotr exclusives and private autographing sessions will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. More to come tomorrow. In the meantime, we still have some incredible announcements coming your way today!"

In a follow-up tweet, the account addressed some of the accusations being made by fans and event-goers about hacked reservations. "We want to be clear - all fans who made valid reservations yesterday are able to keep theirs," the post reads. "We are doing an internal review of the accusations brought to us regarding bypass link usage and will be voiding reservations, similarly to how we handle scalpers, if necessary."

On Sept. 26, NYCC issued an initial statement regarding the event's servers crashing due to overwhelming fan demand. "Today, we had tens of thousands of fans hit our reservation page simultaneously," the initial post reads. "We were under the impression the servers could handle the volume, but errors resulted in extremely long wait times and for that we apologize. Each time Thuzi saw an issue, the entire process was paused to ensure no one lost their place in line within the system. The fans who were let into the reservation site were the first folks in line and were able to get through the process, and we continued to pause and un-pause the system as server issues continued.

"We recognize this isn't up to our standards and we know that this took valuable time out of your days. We appreciate your patience. Reservations will re-open this week once all server errors have been fixed. We will post on social and our website when we have the new date they will go live."
