As teased in the trailer for 2016's "X-Men: Apocalypse," Professor Xavier and his team of X-Men will have their work cut out for them when Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen arrive in the next mutant movie. In addition to the titular, ancient and size-changing master manipulator, a quartet of mutants will be in his thrall: Storm, Archangel, Psylocke and Magneto. And not only will they be on Apocalypse's side, but they'll also have amped up powersets.

While talking to Entertainment Weekly, director Bryan Singer discussed these power upgrades, specifically when it comes to Michael Fassbender's Master of Magnetism.

"One of Apocalypse's many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones," said Singer. The director then referenced to the accompanying concept art, seen above. "Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful.... Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we've seen before."

Directed by Bryan Singer and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Oscar Isaac, "X-Men: Apocalypse" opens on May 27, 2016.
