We are only two weeks away from the return of Vin Diesel at multiplexes everywhere. His newest film, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” opens January 20. If a brief glimpse at the plot (recruit a new team, teach them to look dope, save the world, get the girl) from the previous footage didn’t convince you to buy tickets opening day, maybe the latest clip from the movie will have what it takes. Sit back and enjoy Xander Cage doing what he does best: Making something awesome out of nothing.
Proving skiing is simply a state of mind, Xander Cage finds himself up a tower without a paddle…or snow. With only a pair of skis and a smile, he proceeds to put the extreme into a “a thrill seeking extreme sports enthusiast, stuntman and rebellious athlete-turned-reluctant spy for the National Security Agency.” (His listed job title on Wikipedia.)
Before you comment below on how it’s not possible to thrash on grass, the title of the video “Jungle Jibbing,” references the term from the ski movie “Valhalla” from Sweetwater Productions. The film combines a fictional story with action sports style filming, creating a truly unique experience. Including, a session through the forests of British Columbia, where the stars use the pine needles and leaves as launching pads to grind on nature’s jibs; any fixture which can be ridden with a board or skis, while being parallel or perpendicular to the surface.
Starring Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Tony Jaa and Samuel L. Jackson, “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” blows minds everywhere on Jan. 20, 2017.
