New Warriors #1 will not be released this week, but several variant covers have been.

Newsarama has the four variants for the relaunched series. Luciano Vecchio and Declan Shalvey both supplied a cover, while Mark Bagley made two different variants. Check them out:

One of Bagley’s covers relates back to a more classic style of the characters. Speedball, Marvel Boy, Namorita, Night Thrasher, Firestar and Nova make up the roster. Underneath each hero is a hand-written description of their body type and age. There is even a note from Mark stating, “Okay - so I’m not a great inker - so sue me.”

The other variant covers depict a more modern style for the characters. The cover by Declan Shalvey, meanwhile, is a Marvel Zombies variation with undead depictions of the New Warriors.

In the relaunch of New Warriors, the heroes will be challenged with facing Kamala’s Law, which bans kids and teens with superpowers from conducting any heroic activity. Night Thrasher regroups the team to stand against the law by training a new wave of superheroes.

New Warriors #1 is now dated to be released on April 22 for $3.99, starting off the new five-part series.
