With the days and hours ticking down to the start of the "The Walking Dead's" season seven premiere, fan anticipation continues to build. But while much attention is focused on the resolution of the season 6 cliffhanger, and the identity of which member of Rick's crew will be beaten to death by Negan, less focus has been given to two of the more eye-catching additions to the show's regular cast -- Ezekiel and Shiva.

That oversight is somewhat remedied by the official "Walking Dead" Instagram account, which gives us a new still image of the Kingdom's ruler, played by Khary Payton. The picture shows Ezekiel giving us a slightly-less-than-regal pose as he reclines on his wooden throne and strokes his growling tiger. The photo's caption reads "Welcome to the Kingdom. #TWD."

The photo should serve as a reminder for fans that whatever else happens in the season opener, at least Carol and Morgan should be relatively safe. That is, unless Shiva gets hungry.

Starring Andrew Lincoln, Steve Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Lennie James, Danai Gurira, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, “The Walking Dead” Returns on Sunday, October 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC. The season premiere will be followed by a special 90-minute episode of the live chat show “Talking Dead,” featuring the main cast as guests.
