Though Negan doesn't make an appearance in this prologue to 2016's "The Walking Dead" mid-season debut, the iconic villain's presence is certainly felt. Stopped by a group of bikers, Daryl, Sasha and Abraham are quickly introduced to the law of the barbewire-wrapped bat wielding character, as they're informed, "Your property now belongs to Negan."
Viewers have long awaited the debut of Negan, with speculation regarding who would be signed to bring him to post-apocalyptic life on the AMC drama. In early November, the cable network announced actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan had joined the series' cast in the role, with the promise that he'd make his debut in 2016 during the second half of Season 6.
Debuting in the landmark 100th issue of Image Comics' "The Walking Dead," Negan made a big entrance into the mythos by taking the life of one (up until that point) long-lasting survivor and member of Rick's crew. In addition to being the leader of the Saviors, Negan is a foul-mouthed and charismatic villain who carries a barbwire-laced bat named Lucille.
