The latest trailer for "Suicide Squad" debuted Sunday night as part of the MTV Movie Awards.

Not only does it explain the basic premise of Warner Bros.' DC Comics-based film -- courtesy of Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, assembling the team of very bad people enlisted to do some good -- it also features plenty more of the Squad members, including a "quite vexing" Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Deadshot (Will Smith), along with the most viewers have seen yet of Jared Leto's Joker (including his laugh) and some Batman (Ben Affleck) thrown in for good measure. Set to the tune of Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," the trailer seems to continue the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" theme of general suspicion of the Man of Steel's destructive potential.

Directed by David Ayer, "Suicide Squad" opens Aug. 5.
