"Spider-Man: Homecoming" began shooting in Atlanta back in late June, and photos from the set have been popping up ever since. As reported by Just Jared Jr., new images show Peter Parker (Tom Holland) palling around with Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon). You can check out the set pics at Just Jared Jr.

Also appearing in the photos is Tyne Daly, whose role in the movie has yet to be revealed. But given that Parker and Leeds both work at The Daily Bugle in the Spider-Man comics, there's a chance -- albeit possibly a slim one -- that the "Cagney & Lacey" star might be playing a gender-reversed version of J. Jonah Jameson, as some fans have speculated.

Batalon's character was confirmed to be named Ned by director Jon Watts during this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego. Considering that Ned Leeds is the only "Ned" in Spider-Man's supporting cast, it seems likely that Batalon is playing that character. It's unclear whether or not the MCU's Ned Leeds will evolve into a villain in this film, though; Leeds went on to to become the third iteration of Hobgoblin in the comics.

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is scheduled for release on July 7, 2017.
