Arguably this winter's most anticipated film, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" has launched a full-on publicity blitz (you see the latest international trailer?) to get fans hyped for its December release date. And when the film arrives in our galaxy, fans will also have the option to watch the daring adventure on the big screen -- and we mean big screen.

As revealed by USA Today, IMAX has a new poster specifically designed for use in their massive theaters. It depicts the film's cast -- including Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Saw Gerrera, Chirrut Imwe, Baze Malbus, K-2SO and Bodhi Rook -- all trapped with the ominous and angular shadow of an Imperial Star Destroyer. The Rebels are also flanked by numerous X-wings and U-wings as the massive murder weapon, the Death Star, lurks in the background.

Set outside of the main sequel trilogy that began with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Rogue One” is set just before 1977’s “Star Wars” and details the Rebel plot to steal the Death Star plans from the Empire. Directed by Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla,” “Monsters”) from a script by Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz, “Rogue One” stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna and Riz Ahmed.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” opens on December 16.
