Last week, The CW adjusted the schedule for its October 7 prime time programming, adding an additional three minutes to the series debut of "The Flash" while shifting the season premiere of "Supernatural" back to 9:03 PM. At the time, it was unclear whether the shift was to accommodate an extended teaser for "The Flash's" upcoming episodes, or if the pilot was being extended via new footage.
A new 30-second promo for the series debut clarifies the adjustment: the scarlet speedster's first episode has had previously unseen footage added to the pilot. The move is not only a solid show of support from the network for the fledgling series, it's also an added enticement for the thousands of viewers who have already seen the pilot via the various filesharing sites to tune in and maximize the premiere's ratings.
"The Flash" debuts October 7 at 8:00 PM on The CW.
