When the Power Rangers return to the big screen, their trusty aide Alpha 5 will be along for the ride. IGN released concept art of what the Bill Hader-voiced robot will look like when it's rendered in CGI. Keeping the same form as it's television counterpart, the Alpha 5 appearing in the rebooted "Power Rangers" film ditches the brighter red and blue colors from the original design for more of a darker look. The new Alpha 5 does keep its large, circular head, albeit with protruding light bulbs for eyes.

In the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" television series, Alpha 5 chose the five "teenagers with attitude" to become Power Rangers and protect the Earth from the evil Rita Repulsa. Alpha 5 is known for using the phrase "ay yi yi" whenever he's excited or in a state of panic. It's still unknown if Bill Hader will use that catch phrase when he takes over the role in the upcoming feature film.
