To mark the end of principal photography of "It," producer Barbara Muschietti has posted a photo of a creepy Pennywise the Clown jack-in-the-box, presumably from the Stephen King adaptation.

Based on King's 1986 horror novel of the same name, the film follows the exploits of seven misfit children, known collectively as "the Losers' Club," who are terrorized by the titular demonic entity, who often takes the form of a murderous clown called Pennywise. The adaptation will be split into two parts, with the first focusing on the children's first dealings with It, and the second on their later encounter.

And yes, it's a wrap on #itthemovie. Thank you amazing cast and crew for this magical journey. And thank you #stephenking for giving us this tale.

Many plot points will seem familiar to those who watched the 1990 television miniseries. However, the film will supposedly move the timeline forward, having the first part of the story take place in the late 1980s, and the second part in the mid-2010s.

Directed by Andres Muschietti ("Mama"), "It" stars Bill Skarsgård, Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Wyatt Oleff, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague and Logan Thompson. The film debuts debut Sept. 8, 2017.
