Nearly two years after the film's original release date, a new trailer for The New Mutants has finally been released. The trailer offers glimpses at the comics-accurate mutant powers that will be displayed in the film, as well as the movie's supernatural antagonist.

Now, following the release of the trailer, Marvel has unveiled two new stills from the upcoming X-Men-related film, which unites a team of fan-favorite mutants. Both images feature the cast of mutants: Cannonball, Magik, Dani Moonstar, Sunspot and Wolfsbane, who all appear in civilian clothes.

The New Mutants was originally slated for release in April 2018. However, the Disney/Fox merger led to many unexpected delays. Finally, director Josh Boone recently confirmed the film would arrive in theaters April 3, 2020. Although details of the film's story are being kept under wraps, the The New Mutants is expected to adapt the classic comic storyline "The Demon Bear Saga."

Directed and co-written by Josh Boone, The New Mutants stars Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin/Magik, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie/Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar/Mirage and Alice Braga as Dr. Cecelia Reyes. The film arrives in theaters April 3.
