The latest batch of images from The New Mutants put the focus on Cannonball, Wolfsbane and Magik, highlighting the characters' isolation in the film.The New Mutants Twitter account shared nine new images, with three each focusing on Illyana, Rahne and Sam. Like much of the marketing for the movie, the images and captions focus on the solitary nature of the characters as they process their stay in what may or may not be a supernatural prison of sorts. As opposed to a straight action movie, The New Mutants seems to be both a horror film and a psychological thriller. In fact, the promotion for the movie has even toyed with the entire threat of the film existing in the minds' of the protagonists. These images certainly tease that idea, splitting up the characters and zeroing in on what haunts them.

After a long series of delays, The New Mutants is finally coming to theaters, so marketing for the movie has been ramping up. Along with these images, we've seen new shots of Dani Moonstar, AKA Mirage. We've also been given yet another New Mutants poster. Whether this fresh round of promotion can help the film overcome its confusing release schedule, we'll know soon enough.
