"Run, run, as fast you ca n…"

No amount of running can stop the cast of The Maze Runner from colliding with the Grievers, the terrifying monsters at the heart of the sci-fi film arriving this fall.

Directed by Wes Ball, and based on James Dashner's young-adult novel of the same name, The Maze Runner centers on a boy named Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) who wakes up in a clearing called the Glade without any memories of who he is or why he's there. He's surrounded by dozens of other young boys who first arrived at the Glade under similar circumstances, though they've since banded together to develop a rudimentary society.

On the outskirts of the Glade is an enormous maze that stays open all day, but closes at night. The fastest kids in the society are enlisted as "runners" to search the maze for any way of escaping the Glade, but so far, no progress has been made — and no one has ever survived a night alone in the maze, thanks to the lethal Grievers that lurk inside.

But with Thomas' arrival, followed by the arrival of the Glade's first woman, things look set to change. See the change for yourself in the brand new Maze Runner trailer below:

The Maze Runner hits theaters on Sept. 19.
