Actor Emmett J. Scanlan has provided fans another look at him decked out as the alien bounty-hunter Lobo, as the build-up towards his debut in Season 2 of Syfy's Krypton continues.

Scanlan revealed the image on his social media. The picture shows Lobo letting out a war-cry, indicating that he'll definitely mean business when he debuts. As with the first look from October, this Lobo seems accurate to the character in the comics in terms of his visual aesthetic and overall design.

Joining the Superman prequel in its second season, Lobo is described in a way that suggests his television depiction will stick close to his DC comics roots: "A ruthless bounty hunter, who murdered his entire species, he possesses a genius-level intellect when it comes to matters of warfare, making him a deadly adversary. Imbued with superhuman strength, and virtually immortal, Lobo will keep coming until the job is finished. His word is the only thing Lobo holds sacred; and although he’ll never violate the letter of an agreement, he might disregard its spirit from time to time!"

Lobo was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, debuting in 1983 in DC’s Omega Men #3 as an egoistical villain with a lust for mindless violence. He gained popularity in the '90s as a parody of Wolverine, Punisher and other antiheroes. The cigar-chomping, ruthless Czarnian has, over the years, become a fan-favorite, appearing in cartoons such as Superman, Justice League Unlimited and most recently, Young Justice: Outsiders.

Set two generations before the planet's destruction, Krypton centers on Superman’s grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), who’s warned by the time-traveling Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) of a danger that could alter the future, ensuring the Man of Steel is never born. While Season 1 focused on an attack by Brainiac, the threat is ultimately revealed to be something else entirely in the finale. The first season introduced three major antagonists to Krypton: Brainiac, General Zod and Doomsday, any of whom could be a target for Lobo when he touches down.

Returning in 2019 on Syfy, Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.
