Thanks to a previously revealed script page and trailer, fans know that the ex-Wolverine's healing factor will be pretty tired when Hugh Jackman returns for one last ride in 2017's "Logan." Logan's new, heavily-scarred torso is on display in a new Twitter image posted by director James Mangold.

As Mangold said in a recent interview, Logan's healing factor will still work (slowly), but it won't leave him without scars anymore. "We imagined that it may have when he was younger, but with age, he’s getting older and ailing," said Mangold. "Perhaps his healing factor no longer produces baby-soft skin. So we imagined he heals quickly, still, but it leaves a scar. The simple idea was that his body would start to get a little more ravaged with a kind of tattooing of past battles, lacerations that remain of previous conflicts.”
Directed by James Mangold, written by Michael Green, Scott Frank, James Mangold and David James Kelly, and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Dafne Keen and Stephen Merchant, “Logan” arrives in theaters on March 3, 2017.
