Marvel Studios and Disney have debuted the third trailer for the May 3-releasing "Iron Man 3," the first Marvel film to be directed by Shane Black and the fourth starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

While the trailer showcases some previously seen footage, it's easily the most content-rich look at "Iron Man 3" fans have had yet, with new footage and audio that gives the first real impression of what to expect from the sequel's story. Not only does it showcase the inner conflict of Tony Stark during the film, it gives a tangible reason for his fight against the Mandarin -- "Good, old-fashioned revenge." There's also new looks at the Iron Patriot, Pepper Potts, Aldrich Killian and -- perhaps most exciting -- a veritable cornucopia of previously-unseen Iron Man armors.

Loosely based on the 2005-2006 "Extremis" story arc by Warren Ellis and Adi Granov, "Iron Man 3" also stars Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau, along with Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton. It opens internationally on April 25 and in North America on May 3. Watch the film's latest trailer below.

"Marvel Studios' 'Iron Man 3' pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?"
