As WB Games and NetherRealm Studios' "Injustice: Gods Among Us" video game draws closer to its April 16 release, it seems the studio still has a few secrets up its sleeve when it comes to the playable roster of the DC Comics fighter. A new trailer for the game focuses on Aquaman for a first look at the King of Atlantis' new costume and a new arena in an underwater throne room. The aquatic hero seems to use his trident for most of his attacks, facing off against Joker, Flash and Cyborg in the trailer.

Perhaps more intriguing is the tease of the game's storyline and cinematic narrative scenes. The trailer shows Aquaman at the head of an Atlantean army, saying, "After years on the brink of war, I've decided to yield to the regime." While not much is known about the game's story so far, DC is currently publishing a digital-first "Injustice" prequel by writer Tom Taylor and artist Jheremy Raapack, which has so far revealed the death of Lois Lane as a major catalyst for the dark story world of "Injustice."

Aquaman is the latest character to be added to a roster that already includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Joker, Harley Quinn, Shazam, Lex Luthor and more.
